To know exactly, when which truck with which product is where, and thus save money and time and also to act efficiently in case of major accidents, Rinnen turned to Rainer Koch Kommunikation GmbH cooperating with TomTom WORK GmbH.
In the autumn of 2001, after the fleet management system had been successfully tested by TomTom WORK for two months with six trucks of the Rinnen subsidiary Leuna, the company Rainer Koch Kommunikation GmbH was asked by Rinnen to equip 50 trucks with the TomTom WORK system.
With this it was possible for Stephan Ziener, as an attorney responsible for Rinnen Leuna, to log in himself at any time and from different places to locate single vehicles. Now loading orders are sent in an uncomplicated text form and accordingly acknowledged by the drivers.
