Transport shipments on the right road

This transport company founded in 1967 has been a limited company since 1984 and employs about 40 staff. From the beginning international shipments were also made to Italy, Germany and Switzerland. Thus Schierhuber has been active for more than 35 years in Italian shipments of partial and complete loads of marble, tiles and machines. Partial loads from the southern parts of Germany are also shipped to Austria. Occasionally the "Schierhuber Shuttle" also visits other West and East European countries.

Eight of the 30 Schierhuber GmbH vehicles are equipped with the fleet manager. The automatic messages and reports are readily used by the company since this data is "very useful, especially for charging calculations". "I know exactly, for example, at what time the border was crossed. It's increasingly more important to know where the vehicles are right now." (says Heinz Schierhuber, Managing Director of Josef Schierhuber GmbH).

This is especially important "for improving planning of new orders, but also for checking which routes are driven and whether rest times are observed." Customers who have important goods shipped are currently given their own guest access in order to be able to monitor their shipments themselves. This solution is "lower cost because I save on the software and thus on support." (says H. Schierhuber)
